My team

Rubén Uría
Asturian and former Sporting de Gijón footballer, like Marcelino. They did not get to play together because of the age difference, but they have been friends since childhood.
Marcelino was Rubén’s coach during his time at Club Deportivo Lealtad, in which they were promoted to Second B. Uría has been part of the coaching staff since 2005. It should be noted that he has won more than 75% of matches when he has acted as the team’s main coach when MGT has not been able to do so for different reasons.
Ismael Fernández
For the physical condition and prevention of injuries, the coaching staff has Ismael. Also from Asturias, they work together from day one as Marcelino’s coach in professional football.
With a methodology taken to detail, he takes care of the physical condition of the players and works in coordination with physiotherapists, doctors and nutritionists in order to achieve the best possible performance of the squad throughout the season.

Sergio García
Passionate about football, he graduated in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences, and also in Physiotherapy and Coach Degree to add value in a multidisciplinary team.
Sergio stands out for his adaptation to different positions or guidelines within the workgroup and his goal-based approach. Since 2017 he has been part of the coaching staff, contributing as a physical trainer and analyst.
Bruno Uría
Bruno is the coaching staff’s youngest. He is specialised in Game Analysis after working as a training coach and assistant to others.
He has worked alongside Javier Calleja, Eder Sarabia or Hernán Pérez in the young categories of clubs such as Villarreal or Gimnàstic de Tarragona before joining Valencia’s coaching staff as an assistant and analyst. He returns to the team at Athletic.

Pablo Manzanet
Pablo is passionate about sports and especially football. He adds a discipline that makes him a fantastic analyst of the game and training for high-performance sports.
His previous experience as a physical trainer and coach in the lower categories adds a plus to his role within the coaching staff he has been part of since Villarreal.
Alberto Torres
In the team since 2015, he works as a physical-sports rehab in both the medical service and the coaching staff.
His previous experience as a physical trainer and his additional training (for team sports and in different techniques and methods of high-performance training) makes him an essential person in the day-to-day running of the squad. After being part of the team in Valencia and Villarreal, he also does it in Bilbao.
